Tony’s Take: 👍 The last Ferrari 355 Spider I sold was cleaner than Alois RUF’s garage floor. Anyone familiar with the Italian stallion’s mechanical “challenges” – regular engine-out service, failed headers and valve guides, top probs, the F1 gearbox from Hell, rust and more – knows that’s some statement. That said, even in less-than-perfect condition, there’s a lot to love about the F355. To quote the Grinch, the noise, the noise, the noise! While there may be lower maintenance supermodels out there, somewhere, few are as beautiful.

I gave a friend a break on the price of the fully-functional yellow/black six-speed 9k-miler; I could have banked $150k. This August, a black/tan F355 did $133k. A red/tan with 27k miles hammered at $87k. Proving two things: “nice cars aren’t cheap” and “cheap cars aren’t nice.” Check out this red/tan 19k-miler’s killer photos on BAT. Baby you look good! She’ll easily bring $135k. Downside: Farago: A Ferrari is Like A Mistress.
