Tony’s Take: 👍 Back in the day, Volvo owners would take a picture of their odometer when it crested 100k. These days, Hyundai warranties their powertrains to 100k. While this 2001 99k-mile Mercedes-Benz SL500’s warranty expired with the Star Wars prequels, odds are you won’t end-up wishing the AMG-wheeled car was in a galaxy far, far away.

The owner’s already addressed the expected weakness (the top). He’s included “two keys, a wind deflector, a tool kit, a copy of the window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, a clean Carfax report.” And he’s posted 182 pictures. (There’s your “was-it-well-loved” cheatsheet done.) In July, a ’99 SL500 with 84k miles did $15k on BAT. This red cherry (not cherry red) Mercedes “Sports Licht” should make the same. Downside: no hard top and the vanity mirror is dirty.
