2003 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe X50 6-Speed

Tony’s Take: 👍👍 The Porsche Turbo offers the best bang-for-the-buck “exotic car” money can buy. That’s true even though demand for new Porsches – outstripping supply to the point of $50k dealer premiums – has significantly inflated the price of pre-loved Turbos. With 65k miles on the clock, this example is not an investment opportunity.

But the X50 engine option – bigger turbos, upgraded intercoolers, revised ECU and a new exhaust (good for 444hp and 457 lbs.-ft. of torque) – is performance-buyer catnip. But wait! There’s more! How about a GIAC ECU tune, a Milltek exhaust system and forged diverter valves and lots ‘o suspension stuff? Somebody went full mod. Downside: Never go full mod. Ride, reliability and resale are a question mark.
