Tony’s Take: 👍 👍 👍 If you bought the Mercedes Benz SLR McLaren in 2006, you bet on the wrong horse (so to speak). The Ferrari Enzo stickered at $650k. Bernard Ramler’s clutch-from-hell Porsche Carrera GT ran $440K. An Enzo recently sold for $3.5m. A Carrera GT fetched $1.9m. Merc’s Big Mac Attack originally sold for the same price as the Über Porker. Nowadays, this $400k pre-owned “Sport Leicht Rennsport” is undervalued. The supercharged SLR weighs 300 pounds more than the same-price-new AMG GT R Pro Coupe Black Series, with less power (617hp vs. 720hp). But the SLR’s fast AF (zero to sixty in 3.8 seconds), boasts racing pedigree, supply is limited (261 built in 2006), the ride’s civilized and butterfly doors FTW! Downside: the nose looks like a SLK on steroids.
