1985 Lamborghini Countach 5000 S

Tony’s Take: πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ Here it is: the rarest of the 5000’s. This factory fuel-injected 2 Valve Lamborghini Countach 5000s is one of an estimated 37 cars sent stateside, boasting 325 bhp @ 7,500 rpm and 260 ft lbs of torque @ 5,500 rpm. In 1985, only drug dealers and their attorneys bought them. Flash forward to today. Gen Xers who postered their wall with a Countach set the market on fire. A factory-prepared 5000 S 2V bought 10 years ago for $75k is worth roughly $600k today. Has the Countach market peaked? Does the buyer care? They shouldn’t. The supply is limited but the car’s appeal is not. Downside: big ugly bumpers and aftermarket side skirts. [Note to new owner: remove the lady’s skirts to expose the factory-spec round body underneath.] No sub-million dollar Countach soon.
